It's the follow-up we needed and we knew about it.

So, as it says in my description, I also like to give people recommendations on music.
This time, I'll give y'all a recommendation of an album and my review of it.
When this album was announced, I was a little worried about what it would bring to the tablet. I mean, Twice has given us so much this year that I was just like “Oh my goodness, what if the end product is not good?” you know?. But the Kings of Girl groups came and slayed.
This album is a masterpiece from start to finish, it feels different and at the same time loyal to who Twice is. I love the sound Twice has taken in the past two years and it feels cohesive. Their discography is flawless with this past year's releases.
Let's get to the digestion of the album, track by track.
Title Track: Scientist.

So this is the first time it takes me a while to get used to the title track. More & More caught my attention right from the start, ICSM blew me away with their vocals on the first listen, Perfect World, wow they did that, and then you get Alcohol Free, I love that track so much if you remove the jypoop. The Feels was a cute number, but I overplayed it lol. Scientist… I had to listen to it a few times and in fact, it is the only track I play the least. However, it is a good track, but it could have been better. Not to say, Jeongyeon is back with her bag and she slayed, and omg everybody slayed in the choreo. Visuals are on point, the only thing that needs to happen in order for us to really love that Title Track is a “Video Performance” with those pink outfits. SLAY QUEENS.

2. Moonlight
AH!!! I loved this track right when I heard the snippets of the song. The vocals at first, I thought were a little shallow, but then I was just vibing and vibin. Love the lyrical content and just the feeling of it, it is Twice, but again, mature.
★★★★★
3. ICON
Damn, they got it! They are iconic. This is a middle finger to the haters and for JYPE. Honestly, I love how Jihyo starts the song with such a strong line “I'm over the top, so what?
I'm just tryna give 'em all that they want”. The way everybody criticized her during the M&M era for trying to be “over the top with her dancing” like… she didn't train for 100 years just to be lazy on stage, it's called STAGE PRESENCE. And then Mina comes in with this all-time killer “Spotlight on me even when we are laying in the dark, I don't even mind 'em seeing all my battle scars”. Go off, Queen. Overall the feeling of this track is just, #Blessed. And the reason why I feel like the track can be used against JYPE is because Twice is not going anywhere, they are icons. JYP does everything he can to stop Twice from succeeding cause JYP itself isn't selling millions of albums... This Track deserves a music video, she is an ICON.
Icon remains ICONIC.
★★★★★
4. Cruel by Dahyun
Ms. Dahyun did it again. This is my favorite track right from the beginning. I love the vibe, the beat, the vocals (especially in the chorus, and after the first chorus Chae’s vocals) it goes hard. This track deserves a music video just like ICON. This song is like a complementary track for Scandal and SOS, Dahyun really nailed it, she understood the assignment.
★★★★★
5. Real You by Jihyo and others.
So Real You is a grower, I am still trying to catch up with it, I found myself vibrating to it, but it hasn't kicked in like the others. That being said, the lyrical content, they really did that. I think Jihyo is a great lyricist, she has that vibe, and the Real You vibe, it's totally hers. I do like the track, it is cohesive and the vocals are on point.
★★★★✩
6. F.I.L.A by Nayeon
Hear me out y'all… Title Track SHT!!!!. Nayeon did what needed to be done. SOTY. This track was made with crack. It is just so addicting and powerful. The vocals in the chorus are so well laid out that I almost cried listening to it. It has such a powerful vibe to it and I just love it. A music video is needed ASAP. One of my favorite Twice tracks (of all time)
★★★★★
7. Last Waltz
“And the Grammy for best vocal performance by a female artist is”. Ugh, JTYPOOP. They had one job, to select the title track. You have Last Waltz and FILA, and still, you didn't pick any of these two. Although, Scientist is more like a fan gift. BUT, make this a third single!!. This track has meta, crack, and I don't know what else is there cause I don't use drugs. This has all the makings, the vocals, the layering, the UUUHH AHHHH AHHH! everything, even the broken glass. I can’t even. Anyways, this track, highly suggested if you want to break your back dancing to a Twice b-side.

8. Espresso
I am conflicted because I don't love this track but I don't hate it. Friday night I was hoping for it and then Saturday, it wasn't my cup of tea. So, it is one of those tracks that, okay here me out, if you compare this album to Eyes Wide Open, this is Believer, is a cute track. Vocals again, great, but it felt a little off at times.
★★★✩✩
9. Rewind
Rewind, Rewind, I like Rewind, not like I love Last Waltz, Cruel, FILA, Moonlight, but I like it. It is a cute bop, vocals as always. I gotta say, this album vocally >>>> THEY DID THAT. Anyways, I like it. It's the "handle it" of Formula of Love, and I love "handle it" with my whole life.
★★★★✩
10. Cactus by Jihyo
Okay so this track’s flavor excelled when I was not feeling good on Sunday and wow, I cried listening to it. Jihyo, girl, stop. I love this track, I would fight for her, she is a warrior. The vocals blew me away, Jeongyeon ate and left no crumbs. Just wow! Chef kisses.
★★★★★
Sub-units
1. Push & Pull, unit members: Jihyo, Sana, Dahyun.
I can not believe the first sub-unit included in the album was this one. And oh boy! They came for y'all favs out there. Vocals? On point, Chorus? On point, beat? Hit!, everything about this subunit is perfect. Loved it!. I wish JYP would give the subunits the chance to have their own music videos.
★★★★★
2. Hello, unit members: Nayeon, Momo, Chaeyoung
A genre they have explored before and I think they slayed. In particular Momo, I was so excited that she would be able to go back to her roots, and boy she said HOLD MY LAMBORGINI UP!. As Nayeon said, it is a little hard to get used to the lyrics, but I liked it. Chaeyoung as always, she is tiny but girly snatches,
★★★★★
3. 1,3,2, Unit members: Jeongyeon, Mina, Tzuyu.
You guys don't even know how nervous I was when I first read the names for this unit. I mean, we don't get Tzuyu’s vocals all the time, and when she said it was a bit hard for her because she had to sing more. I felt a little sad. Mina’s vocals are very calm but she was so good in this track as well as Tzuyu, I hope JYPOOP really takes this as an advantage and pushes them to really showcase their vocals. Now, Ms. Jeongyeon, she is gonna slay vocally anyway. I liked the track as well, this is the only sub-unit that took me a while as I heard it at first and I wasn't that blown away. But, a few more listens and I was “Follow follow follow follow follow your tempo yeaaa” lol.
★★★★★
14. Candy
This track is so beautiful I could die listening to it. The vocals are so angelic, the production is so soft, the lyrics are everything. Overall, I love it.
★★★★★
15. The Feels.
Okay so, she is doing numbers in the charts, she is an ICON. HOWEVER, I overplayed her. The production is great, the vocals are great, the visuals are great. Everything, I love how they did not change their aesthetic to please the western territory. Honestly, this song feels and is Twice. Not to say the choreo, omg that choreo is so satisfying to perform ( I haven't learned the whole choreography).
★★★★★
Overall album:
Cohesive, well-written, well-produced, vocals were just insane. This album adds to Twice’s flawless discography and even helps them cement their name as the King of Girl groups. The fact that they keep increasing their popularity instead of decreasing… I just want the company to really appreciate their efforts, their talent, and ONCE love for them. The lack of promotion, restock on albums, and everything else. The company is actually stopping them from growing. Anyway, I have been recommending the album to all of my friends because it is just amazing. My siblings and cousins love the album (they are not into K-pop or anything) they just did that. Vocally? they did that. I love this for them, all of the members had time to shine and I think it is about time!.

★★★★½
Pop Perfection, for the ages.
