A Boss and a Babe first ep... ouch.

Updated: Jul 13, 2023

Hey guys, how are you doing today? For today's post I decided to dictate to my computer :). tehee.

Well I've been on vacation for the past week but I've been just healing and taking my time to think about life, school and what to do with my life basically, I've been I've been reading some but not much and I've been writing a lot. First for school and then I tried to write a lot for the blog but then I just hit a mental block and I just could not even get out of it. I think it might have to do with the fact that I am really burned out and sick for the past month with a lot of other things, and then finding the time to actually write and watch TV has been really difficult.

For today, I decided to watch the first episode of "A Boss and a Babe" because I love the couple, but I was left with a bittersweet taste after watching "Enchante." It's weird to see them together on a show, but let's see how it turns out. As I'm dictating, I'm watching the show and sharing my first thoughts with you. I want to thank those of you who are still reading my blog. I know I haven't been uploading regularly, but watching and reviewing videos is one of my hobbies, and it's been hard to keep up. It's crazy to see people going back and reading my stories, even those that aren't boy love-related. Thank you for that. On a side note, in one of my stories I spoke about Route 8 and I recently found out that Route 8, which I take to work or school most of the time, had a serial killer. Mind blown! I hope the vast majority of you are doing well, and for the other best majority, I hope you're doing great. Now, let's go back to my reaction to the show. I thought about making this a video, but my anxiety prevented me from doing so.

Right from the beginning, I'm impressed with the first episode of this boy love story. It has over 2,000,000 views, which is more than any other boy love story I've seen in the past couple of years. I was surprised to see Drake and Mike in the show as I had forgotten about them since watching the trailer. The color palette of the show is impressive, and I love how bright it looks. I know some people have complained that GMMTV shows have been too bright lately, "they look like Korean shows", but I think Korean shows are aesthetically beautiful, and there's nothing wrong with having a similar color palette.

As I'm watching the show... WHY DID HE take off his bathrobe, and a bit shocking. laughs in KinnPorsche. I can't help but think that Mike doesn't look healthy, and it seems like he's been starving himself. I'm not one to joke about physical or mental health, and I'm genuinely concerned about him. I don't know what's going on in his life or at GMMTV, but something doesn't seem right. Also, I can't drink nonfat milk, just like Gun, I just wanted to mention that. Force reminds me of Tay Tawan, as if they have similar genes. It's interesting to see Force act seriously, but I wonder why they didn't cast Mike and another actor as the main characters. Laughs. A mix of action horror and survival horror would be better! I don't like the sound effects they're using, but I love the office setting. Force could definitely play a villain in a different show. Speaking of balance, I hope GMMTV produces a boy love story with a real villain, not just someone who doesn't want the main characters to be together. They already have "Not Me," but it would be interesting to see more stories with a real villain.

I'm not convinced about Book and Mike's friendship. I don't even know if they're close in real life, but their dynamic in this episode doesn't feel genuine. It's like they haven't been properly introduced, so their onscreen chemistry falls flat. Also, have you seen this man FORCE? He's so handsome it's distracting! I can't believe he's not even cracking a smile. Anyway, what did he just say? I didn't catch that. Come to think of it, I barely remember Book's character from "Enchante." It wasn't a very memorable show, to be honest. But I do like the color grading in this one, and they dont look like vampires, don't look too cheesy. Not forgivable but actually the character development was really bad because on this show there's just so much in Books character that I actually cannot even remember him on "Enchante". Just so you guys know it's 85 degrees here so it's so freaking gross. It's given only fans. Why was his waiting also for his call like I will probably just be like "Sir that's weird, give me the ring". OK so right now there's a an ad playing and I just want to say something real quick I actually am not like super excited... Oh my God laughing right now. This is such a weird plot for a first episode, wait I have to pause what the heck, what are these arms Force?!, Well he does ASMR... but his voice is not calming he's talking really fast and really loud. GOSH! Force got bodied OK, he really said snatched. OK so we're going to another break for some reason I don't know now that I think about it I should actually should do this as a video because I actually say a lot whenever I'm watching this shows.

I have to admit, I found it hard to believe in the friendship between Mike and Book at first, but towards the end of the episode, I could see a bit more chemistry between them. There was a kid in the coffee shop who has appeared in numerous boy love shows, and it's a shame he's never been given a lead role. I have to say, Book can be charming, even if it feels a bit forced at times, wink. The classic cliche scene where they bump into each other and just stare blankly has been used so much in every show I've seen, that it's getting a bit tiring. I don't mind the interaction, but it would be nice to see something new for a change, like someone tripping over the stairs and somebody catches them at the bottom?. OK so that's the end of episode one, I have some thoughts, general thoughts or not general more like cohesive thoughts, whatever, what you read just now it's everything I said while I was watching it, um but here are my cohesive thoughts:

Out of all the TV shows I've watched in the past two years, this one is probably better than "Enchante," "Fish Upon the Sky," and many others. However, I don't think it has the best first episode. There were some things I liked about it, like the color palette, the cinematography, and how GMMTV is trying a new direction in terms of production aesthetics. I also enjoyed the ASMR scene on the phone where it felt like Cher was sitting next to Gun. It was an immersive experience, and I really appreciated that.

The chemistry between Book and Force was great, but I felt like Book's character was a bit forced, wink.laughs. Maybe that'll change when I watch episode 2. Force, on the other hand, is perfectly suited for the role, and I believe he has a bright future with GMMTV. If he were to go somewhere else to act, he would have to step it up.

The new location where the show takes place is also nice, and it reminds me of "SOTUS" season 2. It's a similar story of internships and work, but it has a more mature feel to it while still maintaining its youthful vibe.

Anyway, I feel like this show from GMMTV is going to be one of those that tries to be mature, but it's not quite there yet. even with comedy um, you can be mature. This is just the first episode, so it may grow on me, but I'm not super excited about it. Usually, for a boy love story, I get really excited, but this time around, I don't feel that way. It's similar to how I felt about Moonlight Chicken. I wasn't dying to watch more of it, and it took me a while to get into it. It's not that it's bad, but I just haven't had the time to finish it. This is just how my mind works when I'm watching shows like this. If you have thoughts on this show or any others, please let me know. I'm considering doing a voice-only summary video or a blog post about my thoughts on shows I'm watching, but I don't want to deal with copyright issues on YouTube, I might make the video for the blog only. I just want to do my thing like I usually do, but let me know if you would rather have the video, since this was a pretty disorganized post. laughs. . Anyway, I hope you're all doing well, and take care of yourselves. This blog post was a bit different from my usual style, but I hope you enjoyed it. Bye for now. and yes, this is my live reaction, currently, April 14th, 1:29pm.

Heyyyyy!!! Happy to see you back. You have more faith than I do. I am no longer giving GMMTV the benefit of the doubt. This was just awful. From the silly sound effects to seeing poor Mike playing the fame f@*king character again (He’s too thin) to Force ‘forcing’ himself to play this boss and on & on.This was disappointing to see ForceBook have another dud. 😢
