Let's talk about 'KinnPorsche'

Now, for today's post, we are going to be splashing some water into the world of Kinn and Porsche, yes, because we cannot dive into this show yet.

Anyway!, to my dear friends who come from 'mydramalist' hi, this is Ophelio, I am not able to post for some reason, so, in case you were wondering where am I, here, still gay and still a TayNew fan.

So, if some of you have been watching KinnPorsche, which according to the ratings and hashtag, a lot of you are, then I do not need to explain what KP is about. But! for the casual reader, KinnPorsche is about a guy who is a bartender and a gay mafia lord who likes to suck nipples, just like that porn you once saw. What else is there to talk about so far? They are a family, of course, a minor and a major, which I call the Daddies and DADDIES, Mr.Vegas and Vegas' Dad, I see you and hear you loud and clear, I will do anything that they ask me to do like honestly I-. anyway, there is a lot going on, but we won't get into details as mentioned beforehand.

I want to talk about my overall reaction toward KP. This show started out strong, really strong. In fact, no BL show has grabbed my attention as much as KP, it was so much that I stopped watching it for about 3 weeks... YIKES

You guys I am not even kidding. It did grab my attention, I just had a lot going on, so I thought... maybe I should leave it for the end and binge-watch the whole show. Of course, the gays wouldn't let me, so I am glad because this show snatched my wig, and I don't even use wigs, so that's how good it is.

Yes, there are some weak points that the first 7 episodes have introduced. In fact, I might mention them first.

• The chemistry between Kim and Porchay. It's giving a lack of energy. I love the two actors as individuals, not as I would die for them, but they have grown on me, however, their chemistry is lacking a little, up till this point.

• Some inconsistencies with episode 5, y'all probably know because it went viral among the BL community. That scene where they just take their clothes off without taking off the... well. Minor things, you know. Of course, there is more that is probably going to be resolved by the next episodes, so now let's move on to the good.

Before we move on, however, let's address episode 4. I am aware that Porsche was drugged, everybody is, there is no excuse to defend anybody, HOWEVER. If we go further into the show, we know that there is more to this.

I said we wouldn't go deep into this but I feel like I need to. But, if we go by the conversation they have during that moment, we can clearly see what happened. Here I have the clip of the moment and I want to go over the dialogue.

First off, we can see that Kinn is pulling back, and Porsche keeps playing around (again, we know he is drugged), however, for me, is the lines "What, Kinn?... Just admit it that you like me. Otherwise, why would you kiss me at the pier?". Let's unpack this, first off, Porsche pulls him into a kiss, Kinn pulls back and brushes it off, and then Porsche said that line. You can see on Kinn's face he is confused by the fact that Porsche remembers, and if we go back to that part of the show, he was drunk. And then he proceeds to kiss him and have sex. In other words, I feel like he thought that maybe because he was able to remember what happened the other day, he thought that Porsche was somehow in his senses, even though we know he was drugged. we know this because in the next episode he just thinks he can be forgiven, he also apologizes for it and even sends Porsche away... BUT ALSO!

By the moment this is out, Episode 8 hasn't aired, so, episode 7 has this piece of dialogue,

Kinn also has this notion that he can get whatever he wants, whenever he wants it so there are... Not that it was okay, and it should not be an excuse, but the way this show is addressing all of these issues, not romanticizing them, not as a fetish, of course, we could probably say that we don't want any of it. However, since it is already out, the outcome and the conversations add a different touch to what BLs do. This is not telling us that it is okay, and you can tell by Porsche's decision, that the guy does have feelings for Kinn, and the situation was not what he probably expected and the way he wanted it. There are a lot of possibilities, honestly.

There is this other thing that I have been thinking about which is, Porsche's reputation. We know that these guys know about everybody else more than they think. Vegas knows about Porsche and Kinn as well, so I feel like one thing he might think of

Porsche knows how "easy" he is, now this is a negative thing, obviously. However, -I am not judging anybody who works at a bar or club- maybe he thought that Porsche likes to get it, which can be implied as well if we look at this scene. I don't know, I am just putting my thoughts in here. ANYWAY!

we have just seen 7 episodes so far, and this show has made amends with all the wrongdoing.

Of course, there would be more, but until then, I am happy with the way things are being handled.

Now, back to basics, the chemistry is amazing, the actors are doing great and finally, we are getting long shots. As you guys probably know, I love long shots because it gives the actors the opportunity to show off their talent. In fact, this show is not being carried by the cast, they play along, together, the show itself is well-written, it has its flaws but until now, everything has been going well, which I hope it continues to be like that, and the actors are doing the lords job, some are weaker, yes. But we will check back in July.

Also, you might have noticed that here I was very, very different than what I usually do in my reviews, whenever I do stuff like this I like to keep it with my humor, myself, not the serious part of me, I apologize if my jokes are a little too hot, too hawt.
